The Caledonia Competence Proof of Competence (PoC) Scheme is a supported and robust Assessment, Verification and Certification Service for individuals who don’t have access to a company scheme.
Since its launch the scheme has been consistently growing momentum and we are delighted to share more feedback from a couple of Candidates who successfully completed last year. Along with others, they progressed through the 3 stages of the PoC process, which are Enrolment and Self-Assessment, Evidence gathering, then Assessment by our Technical Assessor against the relevant IMCA ROV table criteria. After final verification, they were issued certificates which are valid for 5 years.
“I feel the scheme was absolutely fantastic. The start involved a detailed one to one phone conversation on what grade I was working at and what evidence requirements were needed to gain certification. Rachael answered all questions and devised a structured plan in a realistic time frame. I liked the fact she kept checking in and making sure there were no issues and also offer continued guidance.
The final Zoom call with the Technical Assessor sounded daunting but was really enjoyable with past experiences talked about and some really good guidance on scenarios that may occur during future trips.
Thank you very much for the time and I look forward to completing my Supervisor competency with you in the future.”
Senior Pilot Technician
“I was extremely happy with how the competency was organized. Any queries or issues were responded to quickly and clearly. The scheme was straight forward allowing me to attain my certificate in a short space of time without cutting any corners. The video call with an assessor is a great idea as the assessment team can get a better idea of the candidate’s knowledge and ability from asking a range of questions on the spot. I will definitely be looking to return to do my Senior Pilot Tech competency in the next 12 months.”
